Peaks of sun but where’s the rain?

Less rain targets the evening

Heavier rain stays to our west and north Monday with local amounts around a quarter inch.

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Today has been mostly cloudy but some peaks of sun are showing. Rain chances will stay very low today under the breezy North winds. The winds decrease this afternoon with a switch to NW as Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 shifts into North Carolina this afternoon. It is not likely to get named a tropical storm but it will keep the moisture close to us for several days.

High rip currents and minor coastal and river flooding are possible today under mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 80s.
