Will the clouds, showers keep you from seeing the Partial Lunar Eclipse tonight?

Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with showers along the State line.

Now: Partly to mostly cloudy with a cluster of showers in northern Columbia County, heading east, northeast toward SE GA. These will dissipate over SE GA tonight.

Tonight: A veil of clouds may hamper some viewing of the Harvest Moon tonight. The thickest of the clouds and showers is currently straddling the State line. Areas north of Waycross, GA and south of I-10 will have better viewing of tonight’s partial lunar eclipse. Partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers, less than 20 percent, as a weak moves our way. There will be a slightly better chance of showers and storms on Wednesday.

Wednesday: Coastal Flood Warnings and Advisories through 5 am Thursday. Morning lows in the 60s to low 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s to low 90s. Rain chances, 40-50 percent, mainly after Noon. Wind: SW/SE 5-10 mph.

Tropics: Gordon fell apart, but may come back later this week, weekend.

Looking ahead: A seasonal late summer pattern through Friday, breezy weekend ahead.
