All Friday morning flights from JAX canceled due to Hurricane Helene, future delays anticipated

Nearly 600 flights canceled nationwide, more than 800 delayed Friday morning

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – All flights scheduled to depart out of the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) Friday morning have been canceled through 9:10 a.m., according to the latest update on the airport’s website.

According to the airport’s website, 27 flights have been canceled due to Hurricane Helene, which hit Florida as a major Category 4 hurricane late Thursday night.

Despite the cancelations, the airport remains open.
