The clean up forecast as Hurricane Helene waves good-bye

All severe weather passes

A breezy day as the sun comes back this afternoon.

JACKSONVILLE, FL – What a night. We all had tropical storm gusts reaching 55-65 mph with some areas along the coast topping 70 mph. Use caution today cleaning up and removing tree debris in the breezy but dry conditions.

Inland southern Georgia had hurricane gusts from 90 to 100 mph.

Last night wind gusts.

Rain has faded away for the day, but it will take longer for the windy conditions to die down. Expect SW breezes at 20 mph with gusts over 30 until the late afternoon. Morning clouds break up with some sunshine heating us up into the 90s this afternoon. The rip current risk is high today.

Rain is over until tomorrow afternoon when afternoon showers track mainly south of Jacksonville toward the coast into the early evening. Rain chances will be 30% with highs in the upper 80s this weekend.
