Warm Wednesday, tropics outlook, and weekend rain on the way

Warm, dry Wednesday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We’re looking at a hot, mostly dry day with temperatures close to 90, light afternoon shower activity in our southern counties, and gusty winds this afternoon along the coast. Highs will be near 90 inland and in Southeast Georgia, look for mid-80s at the beaches.

Keeping a close eye on the low pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico where a tropical depression could form over the weekend - 40% chance through 7 days. A storm behind Kirk has a 90% chance of tropical depression formation over the next 2-7 days. Next named storm will be Leslie, then Milton.

The Jags game on Sunday could be the wettest day of the upcoming weekend with a 60% chance of showers.
