Weekend Rain, Chances increase in the Gulf for Tropical Development

Happy Friday! We have been tracking a few showers across the viewing area. These will travel across northeast Florida and southeast Georgia, from the beaches to I-75. The onshore flow will continue this weekend, pushing scattered showers and storms our way. In the Tropics, the spot we are watching in the Gulf of Mexico has better chances of formation.

Evening: Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy with showers and isolated storms. These will linger through around 8 pm. A lighter northeast breezy will keep coastal counties under a slight chances of showers overnight.

Weekend: It’s not a wash out, but the onshore flow will continue with rain chances around 40-60 percent. Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies are expected with scattered showers and storms and breezy conditions. Morning lows in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s. Wind: NE 10 - 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph.

Game Day: Breezy with scattered showers and storms. Rain chances 50s percent. Wind: NE 10-15 with stronger gusts.

Tropics: Kirk is a category 4 Hurricane. Tropical Storm Leslie is a little stronger. Development chances in the Gulf of Mexico is up to 50 percent over the next 7 days.
