Hurricane Milton makes landfall along the Gulf Coast.  Rain is moving out of south Florida while steady rainfall continues from central Florida through areas south of I-10.  The heavy rain continues from The Villages south along I-75 and areas of western I-4.

We are not done yet.  More wind, rain and the surge is yet to come.

Updated County-by-County: When and how Hurricane Milton will impact Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia

A county-by-county look at expected wind speeds, rainfall totals and when the worst conditions are expected (as of 3 p.m. on Wednesday):

Widespread rain with increasing, possible flooding rounds through late tonight.  The worst impact will be from around 12 a.m. - 2 p.m. Thursday.  The wind impact, especially across northeast Florida and coastal southeast Georgia, will be Tropical Storm.  This means peak wind gusts as high as 39-74 mph.  Sustained wind will average 20-30 mph.

Tonight:  Possible flooding with High Tide.  High Tide at 3:03 a.m.

Thursday:  Conditions will deteriorate after sunset.  The worst of our Tropical Impacts will be 12 a.m. - 2 p.m. Thursday.  Bands of rain have started with bands of rain increasing after sunset.  Tropical Storm impacts expected through midday Thursday.

What to expect:  Increasing, damaging wind and wind gusts.  Flooding will be possible with the storm surge at times of high tide.  Flooding is likely at times of high tide.  People living near and along the River should monitor tides and river levels.  https://www.weather.gov/jax/marineTides

Storm surge inundation of up to 3 to 5 feet is expected along the northeast Florida and southeast Georgia Atlantic coasts and near 2 to

4 feet in the St Johns River basin.

Wind:  Overall, tropical storm force winds are forecast for most of northeast Florida and the southeast Georgia coast.  Tropical Storms force wind gusts are expected after sunset.  Tropical Storm conditions with the biggest impact overnight through midday Thursday.  Estimated wind gusts,  39-74 mph.

Rainfall:  Southeast Georgia:  0.50 - 2.00 inches inland with 1.0 - 3.0 inches possible for coastal counties.  Rainfall totals of 6 to 12 inches with locally higher amounts are possible in southern Putnam, Flagler, and St Johns counties.  The rest of northeast Florida will see rainfall totals generally 2 to 6 inches, with locally higher amounts as well.  With already saturated grounds, flash flooding will be possible.
