Flood waters are receding, Coastal Flood Warnings continue

Tide waters are slowly falling, well after low tide, as Coastal Flood Warnings continue through 5 p.m. tomorrow.

Moderate Flooding occurred along the St. Johns River at the Main Street Bridge. Current levels have dropped to 2.3 feet after climbing to 2.53 feet. Major Flooding starts at 3 feet. The tide today was at 3:21 p.m. The expected crest was 2.66 feet above normal levels.

Moderate Flooding means - Some flooding of structures and roads along the St. Johns River and other inland waterways is expected. Evacuation of people or property to higher ground is possible and the advice of Emergency Management or local officials should be heeded.

Major Flooding is extensive inundation of structures and roads in the area is expected. Evacuations of people or transfer of property to higher ground is likely and the advice of Emergency Management should be heeded.
