Flood concerns linger despite low rain chances; more sunshine

Typical temperatures for this time of year

THE START OF THE WEEK

There is enough energy in the atmosphere for light rain along the coast at the beginning of the work week but it will not be a washout. Mostly everyone will be experiencing sunny to partly cloudy days with breezy winds on Monday.

TONIGHT

Sunday evening temperatures will drop into the low 60s upper 50s with breezy winds from the northeast and north at 10 to 15 miles per hour, while gusts will be 20 to 25 miles per hour.

Despite the breezy winds for some, it will be bearable because humidity remains in the 80s and 90s. Rain chances are low at nearly 20%, focusing mainly on coastal counties Duval, St. Johns, Flagler and parts of Putnam County. Clay and Alachua have a 15 percent or less chance of rain.

RIP CURRENT RISK

We continue to have a high rip current risk for the Atlantic Ocean. Please stay out of the ocean.
