Near Record Highs Thursday, Warm Weekend Too

Watching the Caribbean...

. (.)

Clear and cool tonight with patchy to areas of dense fog inland. Mostly sunny and warmer Thursday with temperatures remaining above normal through the weekend.

Tonight: Mostly clear and cooler. Patchy to areas of dense fog.

Thursday: Patchy to areas of dense fog south of I-10 from I-75 to the River. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Morning lows in the 50s and 60s for SE GA and mainly 60s across NE FL. Near record highs in the mid to upper 80s inland, upper 70s to low 80s along our beaches. Wind NW/NE 5-10 mph. Record 87/1927

Warmer than average highs through the weekend.

Flooding possible through early Thursday morning. A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect for the St. Johns River basin in Clay, Putnam and Flagler counties where ‘Moderate’ level flooding will occur around high tides. A Coastal Flood Advisory continues for the local FL Atlantic coast and ICWW due to Minor tidal flooding where mainly nuisance tidal flooding will occur around high tides.

Tropics: One model has been erratic at best. So far, there has not been two consecutive model runs that were the same, or even close, with regards to timing and placement. Since the GFS has been sniffing around this area of the Caribbean for a few days now, I think it is worth mentioning and watching. Hurricane season ends November 30.

Sunrise: 7:35 a.m.

Sunset: 6:47 p.m.
