Record highs again in Alma, Georgia. An afternoon high of 87 degrees tied a previous record from 1951. In Jacksonville, we missed a record by 1 degree. Today’s high was 88 degrees. The record was 89 set in 2010.

From near record highs today to a warm and sunny weekend. Clear skies and cool temperatures tonight with patchy to areas of dense fog overnight and through early Saturday morning.

Tonight: Mostly clear and cool. Patchy to areas of dense fog.

Weekend: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with an offshore wind turning onshore during the afternoon. Morning lows in the 50s and 60s with fog. Highs in the 80s inland, upper 70s to low 80s along our beaches. Wind: W/NE 5-10 mph.

Next week: Partly cloudy and breezy for the start of the week with showers possible during the afternoon, evening.
