Fog, fair, and finally Fall weather in the forecast this week

Tuesday morning lows

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Our region has yet to see a high below 80 degrees since the beginning of the month and Tuesday won’t change that. However, we have cooler temperatures to look forward to in the next few days as a cold front passes through.

Monday night into overnight hours, cloud coverage will keep our temperatures in the mid 60s across most of the region. Inland fog Tuesday morning will be patchy west of I-95, then clearing after sunrise through 8 a.m.

Tuesday will be mostly dry with sunnier skies and temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s across the region. Winds will be breezy out of the northeast, keeping the rip current risk high and hazardous along our area beaches.

Tuesday evening temperatures are perfect for a night out at the fair, with a slight breeze and mostly clear skies allowing the cooler air to finally drop in.

We‘ll start to feel the Fall cool down by mid-week as our highs won’t move out of the 70s following a mostly dry cold front. Seasonal temperatures in the mid-70s, low 60s expected by Friday.
