It’s a fantastic finally Friday and the kickoff to a Fall firepit kind of weekend. These kind of days remind me of when my mom or grandmother would dry bed linens on a clothesline. Snuggle is good, but nothing has that clothesline smell or feel. Speaking of snuggle, much cooler temperatures slide in behind the tropical rain next week.
Tonight: Clear, cool and calm.
Weekend: Open windows, sunny skies and a s’more or two. Clear and chilly with lows in the 40s and 50s for southeast Georgia and 50s to 60s for northeast Florida. Afternoon highs in the 70s area wide. Wind: NE 5-10 mph. Clear skies overnight.
Tropics: Tropical Storm Sara will be over Honduras and then Belize this weekend. An estimated 15-25 inches of rain with amounts up to 35 inches possible. Flash flooding and mudslides are expected.
The system enters the Gulf early next week. Models show tropical rain arriving midweek. Residents should regularly monitor updates to the forecast.
