The crispy morning air might require an ice scraper for some

Fall is in the air!

Saturday Highs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It’s a chilly start with a light breeze along the coast, enough to keep the frost off the lawns. Inland, however, may see some frost accumulation on windshields before sunrise as winds remain light and temperatures in the upper 30s.

If you don’t have an ice scraper (and who does around here?), you can use a credit card or CD case. Otherwise, just turn on the front/back defroster on high heat and wait it out!

A beautiful day ahead as our region warms into the low-to-mid 60s under super sunny skies.

Can it get any colder? Yes! Expect the most frigid night/morning on Sunday when we could see more inland frost due to little wind, clear skies, and sinking temperatures.

Sunday will warm into the low 70s. Then, a warm-up for the holiday week ahead.

Thursday preview: be thankful for Turkey trot temperatures in the low-to-mid 60s under partly cloudy skies, and light winds before warming into the mid-to-upper 70s. Gobble, gobble!
