JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Happy Friday!
Today we are dealing with a temperature swap replacing warmth with cold. Temperatures stay in the 50s over Georgia and low 60s across the greater Jacksonville area.
Light rain will be around this afternoon and early evening. The wettest times will be from 4-6 p.m. around Jacksonville in messy cloudy conditions.
Rain quickly moves south and out of the area after 6 pm with clear skies returning tonight with cold upper 30s by sunrise. No frost is expected tonight but it is possible Sunday morning.
A freeze warning starts at 3 a.m. and will remain in effect until 9 a.m. for Ware and Pierce counties in Georgia.
The weekend will be sunny and cool in the 60s.
It gets colder next week. An Arctic airmass arrives Monday with a potential freeze Tuesday morning.
