JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After the 80-degree day we had on Thanksgiving Day and a rainy Black Friday, winter has arrived. Morning temperatures will gradually warm up into the high 50, and low 60s for our southern counties. Breezy winds out of the north will continue to make us feel colder with the wind chill.
More than likely, there will be a widespread frost and freeze this evening when temperatures in Southeast Georgia could fall into the upper 20s!
The chill will continue through Wednesday morning. Thankfully, we’ll remain dry with bright blue sunny skies.
Get cold prepared today by protecting your people, pets, pipes, and plants by checking on neighbors, keeping pets indoors, wrapping and dripping exposed pipes, and covering vulnerable plants.
