Rudolph’s red nose will come in handy to help break through the clouds

Some patchy fog Christmas morning

Christmas Eve Forecast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The thick layer of clouds we’ve had all day Tuesday will start to break up over the next few hours allowing the cold air to stick around through the Christmas morning hours. Patchy fog in spots will develop, as well, in the early morning hours. A slight breeze will keep the wind chill 5 degrees colder than the mid-40 temperatures in Northeast Florida, and the upper 30s in Southeast Georgia.

Christmas Day highs will be right where they should be, topping out around 65 degrees. There’s a very slight chance of isolated showers pushing onshore, but only about 5-10%. We’ll have breezy conditions in the afternoon under partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Rain chances increase on Thursday and so do the temperatures. A turn to above normal will bring 70-degree temperatures back into the forecast towards the end of the week and into the weekend.
