The Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory have been expanded

Showers Saturday then More Cold to Come

There is a longer duration of freezing to sub-freezing temperatures tonight.

The Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory have expanded for St. Johns, Clay, Putnam and Duval counties.

Overnight lows will not be as cold as the last couple of mornings, but the time spent near or below freezing could range from 6 to as much as 10 hours. The Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory got an earlier start tonight.

Tonight: Freeze Warning 9 p.m. - 9 a.m. Frost Advisory 11 p.m. - 9 a.m.

Friday: A Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory will start the day. Freeze Warning and the Frost Advisory expire at 9 a.m. Clear skies early will become cloudy with a slight chance of showers possible late Friday night. Morning lows in the upper 20s to 30s for SE GA, 30s for NE FL. Afternoon highs in the 50s for SE GA, 60s for NE FL. Wind: NE/SE: 5-15 mph.

Saturday: Cloudy skies with showers developing around midnight and continuing through around 6 to 8 a.m. Clearing skies through the day with another round of cold temperatures arriving early Sunday. Morning lows in the 40s for SE GA and 50s for NE FL. Afternoon highs in the 50s to low 60s. Wind: NW 10-20 mph. Rain chance 70 - 80 percent with rainfall totals ranging from a Trace to a few tenths of an inch.

A cold start to Sunday with showers possible on Monday as another cold front pushes through the area.
