Clearing skies over the River City as showers and storms slowly wind down near I-75.
Rain and thunderstorms will end in southern Alachua and southwest Putnam counties around 10 p.m. Models continue to show isolated showers along our beaches as the onshore flow continues, 10 percent.
The sea breeze remains active on Tuesday with a chance of scattered showers and storms, mainly after 2 p.m., west of Highway 301. Near seasonal temperatures tomorrow with hotter temperatures by the end of the week.
Thirsty lawns will need a drink this week as rain chances remain low through Friday. Scattered showers with storms will be possible this weekend.
Tonight: Scattered showers with storms west of the River through around 8 p.m., partly cloudy with patchy fog.
Tuesday: Seasonal temperatures with a slight chance of sea breeze showers and storms, 20-30 percent. Morning lows in the 60s to low 70s. Afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s inland, upper 70s to low 80s along the beaches. Wind: ESE 10-15 mph.
Looking ahead: Afternoon highs will approach summer values through Friday. Scattered showers with storms possible Saturday and Sunday.
