The festival started in 2021 as a means of bringing people to Downtown Jacksonville post-pandemic, according to the Florida Times-Union.

Jax River Jams features nationally touring artists alongside local openers, and this year will be no exception. This year’s Jax River Jams’s headliners are country artist Rodney Atkins, English singer-songwriter Bishop Briggs, American hip-hop duo EarthGang, and pop-rock singer-songwriter Andy Grammer, amongst local acts such as Rambler Kane, Coyboi, Jackie Stranger, and many others.

“There’s nothing quite like the sound of live music along the riverbank, paired with the opportunity to champion our local businesses. The vibrant energy and the diverse talent provide plenty of reasons to celebrate the spirit of Downtown Jacksonville.” VyStar President/CEO Brian Wolfburg said in a news release.

After the festival, Jax River Jams attendees can continue their night at Jax River Jams After Dark, an inaugural event happening at various venues within Downtown Jacksonville’s Nightlife District. Participating venues will offer late-night entertainment along with food and drink specials, the release said.
