ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A charter bus driver and three teens were injured on Thursday afternoon after a tire blowout caused the bus to run off the road on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County.
The crash happened just before US 1. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, the bus was traveling south on I-95 with 34 juvenile passengers and four adults when the left tire blew out.

The side of the bus ran into the guardrail. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The 57-year-old bus driver, who was seriously injured, and two juveniles, who suffered minor injuries, were taken to the hospital, according to FHP.
Earlier, St. Johns County Fire Rescue told News4JAX that 3 of the 4 injured patients transported to the hospital are high school-aged, all in stable condition with minor injuries.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid I-95 southbound in the area.
