JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A deadly two-vehicle crash on Roosevelt Blvd. closed all lanes just north of NAS Jacksonville on Thursday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 12:50 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was driving a sedan northbound in the left lane of US-17 when another sedan, driven by a 66-year-old woman with a 78-year-old man as her passenger, turned left in front of her vehicle.

The 24-year-old woman’s sedan crashed into the left side of the other vehicle. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The 66-year-old woman and the 78-year-old man died at the hospital.
Around 4:15 p.m., two lanes were opened.
The roadblock began at NAS Jacksonville and ends at Timuquana Road.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
